This came during the ceremony held by the Ministry of Planning on the occasion of the completion of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and presented the voluntary report of the Sustainable Development Goals in the United Nations, in the presence of a number of ministers and members of the House of Representatives, officials in the central government and local governments, the international community and the United Nations, and a number of representatives of the sector During his speech, the Minister of Planning stressed that the vision of national sustainable development will be the umbrella governing all development plans and frameworks and the process of reconstruction, reform and building. He pointed out that the challenges witnessed by Iraq in particular and the Arab region in general were crises that cast a shadow on all the countries of the region, pointing out that the realistic view of the ministry of these challenges made it out of the methodological solutions provided by scientific theories to possible solutions, according to human and material capabilities in comparison to the size Damage and the urgent need to address, stressing that "the national vision in this way will be a means to reach a common global goal;

He pointed out that the Ministry will continue its efforts to form a national committee for sustainable development; to coordinate economic, social and environmental work between the public and private sectors, civil society and international organizations; to ensure the participation of all, promote awareness, localize the global sustainable development goals and integrate them into local plans, and strengthen the support of development partners to implement them, and proceed with efforts It is common to an empowered human being in a safe country, a united society, a diversified economy and a sustainable environment in which citizens enjoy justice and good governance.

For her part, Ms. Zeina Ali Ahmed, representative of the United Nations Development Program in Iraq, praised all efforts to complete the development process of Iraq based on creative community participation, and targeting the challenges of inequality, poverty, security and peace without exception.

The Minister of Planning expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the National Vision for Sustainable Development 2030 team, the fruitful cooperation provided by the UNDP, all partners and stakeholders in the public and private sectors and the international community, and the active role of the legislature in empowering and supporting the Ministry of Planning.
