Deputy: The non-approved of the oil and gas law has caused problems on the mechanism of approval of contracts for oil

BAGHDAD – The MP for the National Alliance, Susan Saad, said the Commission on oil and energy in the parliamentary phase of the completion of the review of contracts for tours the first, second and third licenses to foreign companies to keep holding company Shell, which signed the letters with the first.
Saad indicated in a press statement to the existence of reservations among members of the committee to hold Shell because he did not pass the House of Representatives did not receive the vote.
She explained that the Parliament since the first round in the debate on the issue of oil contracts Will be voted on within the Council is passing through the oil ministry only, noting that the main reason for the lack of clarity and uncertainty in this matter between the Commission and the Ministry of Oil is not adopting the law of oil and gas.
She said if the legislation was to detail our work in it and set the powers of legislative and executive branches for investment in the oil industry, stressing that members of parliament from the supporters to invest in this important area, because imports of Iraq depends on oil as the primary.
She Saad importance of the hearings held by the Committee from time to time, a private meeting held with the national oil company, noting that the parliamentary committee working to pass the oil law because it regulates the work of the national oil company and are therefore in need of hearing the existence of experts and specialists in this field.
He said this will enable us to find a consensus with ideas to mature the bill in addition to the discussions within the House of Representatives will make us Mthain to enact a law hurt the interests of Iraq and its oil industry.
She stressed that the obstacle to legislation is now law is the continuation of political differences, pointing to the existence of four copies of the law at the same time.
As for electricity, Saad explained that the electricity minister was clear during the session of hosting in the House, and pointed out that this summer will pass like its predecessor, and promised the Iraqi people that next summer will be better after the establishment of the stations.
She said the parliamentary committee with the Ministry of continuous power, and there is a specialized committee within the ministry and we tenaciously to attend each meeting is dedicated to the electricity projects and the creation of steam and gas stations.
And expressed the hope that the planned projects are completed according to the specified period and in parallel with the distribution mechanism and provide energy.
