The Iranian riyal continues to fall sharply to a record low against the dollar on the informal market today, above 150 thousand riyals to the dollar, compared to the level of 138 thousand riyals registered on Tuesday.
According to websites monitoring exchange rates in the informal market, including Bonbast.com and bazar360.com.
The decline comes at a time when the Iranian currency is fluctuating sharply with the re-imposition of US sanctions on Tehran, which led to a significant drop in Iranian exports.
The efforts of the Iranian authorities to prevent the fall of the riyal and speculation by setting the exchange rate and threatening to move against black market dealers have not yet been found.
