Arab foreign ministers in Riyadh condemned the military operation carried out by Turkey in Afrin and the Syrian "Iranian intervention" in the affairs of Arab countries.
According to Agence France-Presse, the ministers expressed the draft resolutions they adopted at the end of their preparatory meeting for the 29th Arab summit to be held in Dhahran Saudi Arabia, the rejection of the operation by the Turkish forces in the region of Afrin in northern Syria , considering that "undermine the ongoing efforts to find solutions Political crisis of the Syrian "
They also condemned the "intensified military escalation" in the eastern Ghouta, days after the alleged chemical attack in Douma near Damascus.
On the other hand, the ministers renewed their condemnation of what they called "Iranian interference" in the affairs of Arab countries, in particular reference to Syria, where Iran supports the Syrian government, and Arab countries accuse Tehran of supporting the Houthis, which Iran denies.
On the Palestinian issue, the Arab ministers reiterated their rejection of the US decision to transfer the US embassy to Jerusalem , saying it was "null and void" and constituted a "serious breach of international law, UN Security Council resolutions and the UN General Assembly."
The ministers stressed that East Jerusalem "is the capital of the Palestinian state," calling for the activation of "financial safety net" of $ 100 million per month "
Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, who arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, attended a summit of the League of Arab States .
