After receiving nearly 800 entries, the Society of Biology has unveiled the winners for its 3rd annual photography contest. With the theme as “Home, Habitat and Shelter” for this year’s competition, the overall winning photo was BIlly Clapham’s The Suburban Mum, which depicts the image of a blackbird in Lincolnshire back garden. According to the Society of Biology: “The judges felt the photo cleverly expressed how garden birds have come to share our homes with us, fitting this year’s theme.”
