To be honest, there is no proof of this "basket" RV. To be honest, I can't see why the Dong would ever RV. The economies are completely different. Where Iraq needs a higher valued currency for buying imported goods, Vietnam has nothing but exports and the only way they can export is to have a worthless currency. If they RV, they would ruin their economy. Meanwhile, Iraq needs to RV so that they can actually buy things. I bought a million Dong just because but it really makes no sense.
I have seen no evidence that would suggest that Vietnam is going to RV at anytime.
