I have a question for the administrators of the forum, I currently see that the forum is not secure for anti-virus currently on this site, and I know that some members do not dare to come on the forum for fear of catch a virus in their computer because the forum is not secure, for my part I have an anti-virus, but I notice that it is not everyone who is anti-virus deprive, is it what are some things you can do to fix the situation by securing the forum again, would that be possible to fix that ?? What makes you think that you can't get viruses from a site that IS secure?

Thank you for your response, I wondered if it could bother to come to this site that is not secure and that could put us in trouble for anti-virus, my question was legitimate since I know nothing about the computer, the only time I'm on the internet is to provide you with news about iraq, it's not bad that is my level on the computer, and a person around me feared for the security site, thank you again for having explained, good day to all!

I actually did pay to have the https security added to the forum at one time.  Unfortunately, when you do that, it creates a lot of issues for the functionality of the forum. I shut it off when I started getting complaints.  As Nash said, there is little concern here for security.  We don't ask for any private details of credit cards, or bank account info, so there is nothing for anyone to steal and also, because there are no ads from MEGA Advertisers, there is really no concern for a virus.

If your visiting other websites without an antivirus protection installed on your computer, your already in trouble. Dinar Daily is the least of that concern.

If your providing personal detailed information without knowing about https, you are already in trouble. Dinar Daily asks for none.

Forumotion is the hosting site for this forum and Dinar Daily has a space there that they provide, as well as other sites. They keep them separate in their own "containers".

Forumotion provides the software to build the sites and the site administrator can customize it to suit their needs, within the software format. Currently it is phpbb.

The site administrator (Ponee) can add some features to the site, but currently it's within the software format, and/or highly scrutinized to be placed on Dinar Daily by Ponee.

Anyone can post a bad link, but there are enough folks looking at them and REPORT IT, for Ponee, or the mods, to take care of it right away.

If you see a bad link, post a reply on that thread that you suspect it to be a bad link, and send Ponee or PurpleSkyz a PM so they can address it with the poster.

As Ponee mentioned, there are no financial transactions, or other information needed, to logon and post.

HTTPS has nothing to do with antivirus. It somply means that you are connected to a secure server and communicating with that server using Transport Layer Security. It means that anything you send to or receive from the server is encrypted, noting more, nothing less.

Very few legitimate servers do not have robust antivirus protection. Generally speaking if you get a malicious download from a site, it's probably someplace you should not have been going in the first place, porn, program hacks, or key hacks, file sharing (lime wire was notorious for that when I was actively doing tech support), etc. There are also very competent free antivirus software out there, (AVG is one of the best), so there really is no excuse.

Thank you for your comments, but I just wanted to ask the question about the security of the site, for my part I have a private anti-virus that I pay to be sure to be protected, it's only someone who lift me this question, since he was afraid to come to your forum because of the possibility of having viruses in his computer coming to your forum, since he saw that it was marked non-secure, so to finish it was just a questioning from me, good day to all!
