The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, stressed on Monday, the need to put controls on the Iraqi dinar exchange rate mechanisms, stressing the importance of Iraq banking system developed comparable to developed countries.
Abadi office in the proxy statement / information received a copy of it said, “Received in his office today the Governor of the Central Bank, discussed with him the work of the Central Bank’s strategy for the coming period and the control of the Iraqi dinar exchange rate against foreign currencies.”
He stressed, according to a statement on the importance of “the central bank maintaining its independence, works to promote the financial and economic reality of the country, drawing financial and economic policies that enable us to move forward towards what we aspire.”
The Chairman of the Council of Ministers to the importance of “the Iraq banking system developed comparable to developed countries,” stressing “the need to develop and control the exchange rate Iraqi dinar mechanism.”
It is noteworthy that the dollar price in the domestic market rose against the Iraqi dinar gradually to reach 1228 dinars to the dollar, compared to 1225 thousand dinars to the dollar over the past month and 1,200 dinars to the dollar through the end of last year 2014.
