What do you think of the Isreal protesters explanations? -- MRCTV’s Dan Joseph Ask Anti-Israel Protesters If Hamas Is a Terrorist Group
Outside of the Christians United for Israel convention in Washington, D.C., MRCTV’s Dan Joseph found a very vocal group of anti-Israel protesters who try and explain why Israel–and not Hamas–is the problem.

It goes to show that some people just don't have a grasp of reality and you can't fix it .

Useful fools and useful tools, with useless "information" they claim officials admit, but the only officials quoted are Palestinian officials from Palestinian sources.

Wow. I'm sorry I was just sharing information. Why the hostility? I have never disrespected anyone in this website. I posted that to have a discussion not a debate. It's okay this is the last time I post. Just wanted a civil discussion. I have been coming to this website to learn not to judge.

No hostility, you asked my opinion and I gave it plain and simple. Let me see if I can make it more clear ... the writers of the article are idiots, and presented a one sided argument based upon the statements of one sided and obviously biased sources. They claimed admissions but did not provide any sort of verification of said apparently anonymous (since no names were given or even offices) admissions. They quote Al-Jazerra as an authoritative news source, does anyone really consider them an honest unbiased source? In other words, the staff of NY Mag/Daily Intelligencer are fools and tools, and reading the article was a waste of my time.

I've been coming to this website for years and I just wanted to break the ice. Can't beat a guy for trying right?

Nelson Nancy, All is good. I LOVE A GUY FOR TRYING! Please don't take the comments personally. I think it is great that you posted a different perspective. if you hadn't, then how would this thread have become more than me just posting the original video? See, you did get conversation going. I don't think the comments were at you, as they were to the article. I post things all the time that are contrary to my person beliefs because I just think they are reading worthy and they get beat up too. I appreciate your stepping out and your participation and would love to have your input on the boards. The more voices in a conversation the better, as far as I am concerned. And difference of opinions? Well, you are right, it creates a good discussion.

NelsonNancy i didnt mean anything by the unicorn and rainbows. It is the way i talk. I was basically asking if you are in support of hamas. I was also looking for a conversation and kept waiting for a reply.
I was not judging. Please accept my apologies. And lets keep the lines of communication open. It is more fun than just reading.

I don't know much about the Israel - Palestine conflict nor will I BS saying I do. Media is biased but that has not stopped me from at least understanding it from both perspectives. I served 8 years in the U.S. Navy as an intelligence analyst and to tell you the truth I've been only shown a part of a puzzle that's not complete. I'm not even sure if what I was fighting anymore. I have my doubts and I really admire you guys and the level headed point of view that has been given. Don't worry I apologized because I don't take anything on the internet personal I just decided that it was better to apologize then to blow this out of proportion from throwing baseless assumptions on anything I know nothing about.

Anyway I am registered. Just been to lazy to re-set my password since I forgot. But I have many things to share. And trust me that article had me doubting from the start so I agree. But how much does the media really show us?. This a phsychologic study on how being in position of higher power actually reduces functions in feeling of empathy because of their said position. They are out of touch from the reality of the low-middle to middle high class citizens daily lives. Please share and discuss. http://www.michaelinzlicht.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2013/06/Hogeveen-Inzlicht-Obhi-in-press.pdf

Re: What do you think of the Isreal protesters explanations? -- MRCTV’s Dan Joseph Ask Anti-Israel Protesters If Hamas Is a Terrorist Group
I have a number of friends in Israel, some close, some not so close, and some family of friends. So I do keep a close watch on things over there. I do try to look at sources on both sides of the fence in order to best understand the issues. In the interests of full disclosure, I will add that I am 1/4 Jewish, and one of our daughters married a Messianic Jew.
Fact, Israel left a mature and complete infrastructure behind when they vacated the Gaza strip.
Fact: The Palestinians tore down greenhouses, factories and other facilities (presumably) because they were Jewish.
Fact: Hamas and others have the complete eradication of Israel as their official policy.
Fact: Hamas is the current ruling party in Gaza.
Fact: Thousands of tons of construction materials sent to Gaza as humanitarian aid have been diverted to build the tunnel network uncovered by Israeli forces this week.
Fact: Hamas routinely stores and fires it's weapons from in the midst of civilian areas.
Fact: Hamas soldiers wear civilian clothes and mingle with the civilian population.
Fact: Hamas routinely attacks civilian targets.
Fact: As a military man, you will no doubt recognize that the last several points are clear violations of international law and would result in war criminal charges against just about anyone else.
Fact: Israel routinely warns civilians by phone, text and with "roof knockers" to evacuate before targeting an area missiles have fired from.
Fact: Israel has spent millions to protect their civilian population, including their Arab citizens (about 20% of the population, the vast majority of whom are Muslim.)
Fact: Hamas, in contrast, instructs their civilians to gather on the roof and resist the "Zionist Oppressors."
Israel has repeatedly expressed their desire to live in peace amongst their neighbors. There are actually Arabic Muslims serving in the Knesset, holding 10 seats the last I checked. Arabic citizens of Israel have one legal distinction from Jewish citizens. They are not required to serve in the Israeli armed forces, since the government did not want to force them to fight their brethren. may do however and that number is increasing. Perhaps the situation was best described by Benjamin Netanyahu when he said something like this; "If the Palestinians laid down their arms today there would be peace tomorrow, but if Israel laid down their arms, there would be no Israel tomorrow."

Re: What do you think of the Isreal protesters explanations? -- MRCTV’s Dan Joseph Ask Anti-Israel Protesters If Hamas Is a Terrorist Group
Hi guys! Just wanted to leave another link to a news article. It's from Israel today.
http://www.israeltoday.co.il/default.aspx?tabid=178&nid=16447
Israel funding Hamas, Olmert admits
Thursday, June 26, 2008 | Israel Today Staff
The office of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert admitted on Wednesday that it is allowing the transfer of hundreds of millions of shekels to the Hamas government in the Gaza Strip every month.
Most of the funds enter Gaza in currency exchanges for the dollars and euros Hamas smuggles into the territory following fund-raising trips to Iran and other supportive Middle East regimes.
In a letter to the Prime Minister's Office earlier in the week, the Shurat Hadin Israel Law Center warned that the government was actively aiding the perpetuation of Hamas rule in Gaza, despite its own stated policies.
Shurat Hadin director Nitsana Darshan-Leitner explained that without the influx of Israeli shekels, the currency of record in Gaza, Hamas would be financially unable to rule. By allowing the entry of shekels into Gaza, Darshan-Leitner noted that Israel is breaching an economic embargo of Gaza by Western powers that Israel itself insisted upon, and is helping a terrorist organization to launder money, a direct violation of the Terror-Funding Act of 2005.
Worse, said Darshan-Leitner, is the fact that " the Israeli government's policy of transferring shekels is assisting the Hamas terrorists with their missile attacks on the Negev communities."
In response, Olmert's office wrote that "due to conclusions that there is an Israeli interest that the transfer of funds continue, a decision was made to continue to transfer certain sums of money to the Gaza Strip."
Shurat Hadin has threatened to sue the government both in local and international courts if the transfer of funds does not cease.
