anyone have the electronic bank transfer numbers , and address for warka/Baghdad?
I want to transfer some money to them..

Wherbie, do you already have an account set up? That has to be done first .... This info will not help you unless you have already set up that account.

It actually takes a few weeks to get this done.

It no longer goes through Citibank. You need a German bank and that information needs to come from them.

Email them around midnight eastern time. They will receive your email first thing in the morning. Be very polite with words like please and thank you very much.

Also don't email them on a Thursday night. They don't work Friday's and emails are deleted over the weekend.

You need to copy Mr Issa as he gets things moving. I have never had a problem getting a response from them following this pattern.

Now that Warka is revamping their systems everything should work a bit smoother.

there is a note on their website to the effect that " warkaa bank has resolved their problem with the banking officials"

I emailed Mr. Mohammond Issa ..about have a communication problem with e-mails, yesterday...we'll see what happens. he's always been straight with me ...had a stock accont woth them for @ 5-6 years.
I will report the results, haven't heard anything yet..

I don't now too much about the ISX and Warka. I thought they were not allowing any trades through Warka. I seem to recall seeing that on another Dinar forum. I have a Warka account but it's the banking side only.

I have not sent any other money to my Warka account since 2012 but I do log on and see my bi-yearly interest added.

Mr. Issa and Warkaa were the first bank to bring foreign investors into Iraq @ 2004-5 and bought stock from them in those years...almost before the ISX was legal....problem is YOUR stock is in THEIR name also...so if the bank folds I would guess all is lost...I got statements from them 4-5 years in a row, but not for the last 2 years...makes me wonder...it was just a shot at the stocks...got a lot of free shares , bought @ a million shares for @ $ 1000 USD...do I had @ 10 K...5K in warka...warka claims foul with the banking comissinor...politics, and say ithas been resolved...we'll see...thanks for the ear...

Wherbie, it' not like me to promote other sites but there is some good information here that might help you understand what's going on recently. I have not tried to send them any money to do any transactions. The last I needed help with was resetting my password which requires that annual fee.

You can read about what some people have been saying about the ISX but I do remember that when Warka was in trouble a couple years back they suspended ISX trades and a few people starting using a different broker.

Anyone ever manage to get a cent back from Warka yet? I haven't heard of a single person doing so yet despite them coming out of "custodianship" and I know people have been trying.

I notice the Warka Victims facebook page has posts as recent as April 8th indicating that people still can't get any of their money back.

Many of them don't have money in the bank. The only way they will gain more wealth is from HCL based on oil sales. It's not like they have it under the mattress like you do.
