Warka Bank

Can anyone tell me if my IQD savings account is secure at the Warka Bank, now that it has been taken over by another state owned bank? Very Happy

I cannot answer your question perse but I can say I know someone who has a warka account and they are having some problems...not sure the extent of those problems but that the problems have been ongoing.

I just know that there are times when I can not get into my account for weeks on end, I am afraid that I have lost my money. scares the heck out of me.

MightyMaxMan and Levitations: Is there no way to move your $$$ out of Warka to another bank? One you feel more secure with?

I have actually experienced that myself Levitations - I have money in both places, there and here. Trying to hedge my bet so to speak. Supposedly when Kuwait Rved ( or not - cause they didnt really RV ) you only had 30 days to cash it in and you had to do it in Kuwait because it wasn't traded here. So those holding here, unless they went there - got squat. Thus, the reason why I have money in warka. And I have dinar here, just in case they won't let me get my money out of warka. Hopefully, I can get it cashed out in both places without any trouble when the times comes. Time will tell. I just wish it was a much short time than what it seems like it is going to be.
